Acacia confusa (Acacia)
Acacia confusa is a member of the Pea family (Leguminosae) and comes from South East Asia
In Taiwan the wood is used to make support beams for underground mines.
The wood can also be converted to charcoal for family use.
The plant is used in traditional medicine too and is available from herbal medicine shops in Taiwan, However no clinical study has been done to support its effectiveness.
Sometimes it is also used as a durable flooring material.
